Maria Rudman

Former model, TV presenter, fashion stylist and photographer, Maria Rudman grew up by a lake in Sweden, in a house filled with crafts made by the Sami, the original habitants of northern Scandinavia. After many years of research and close collaboration with the Sami and other selected craftsmen, Rudman offers varied choices of high-quality accessories using techniques unchanged for many hundreds of years. She presently lives and works in Paris, France.

All bracelets are handmade by craftsmen indigenous to the area in keeping with the Sami tradition, using hand tanned and dyed reindeer hides, antler button closures and pewter and sterling silver braiding inlays throughout.

Why we love: Rarely do we have the opportunity to meet a designer in person, sit down
with her in her Paris showroom, and observe her priceless body of work spanning more than 20 years. Though we were already avid collectors of her jewelry, we developed a greater appreciation of the intricate craftsmanship involved in making each bracelet.
